Gears Of War 3 review: This wears biggest hit? or Biggest miss?

The answer to the question is... HIT!

Story:
After many months of ridiculous anticipation for many die hard Gears fans it is finally here! Gears 3 raps the end to the Marcus Fenix era (unknown of prequel or sequel of the franchise) and ties up many of the questions we have all been waiting to hear! The game provides a more emotional attachment to the team (Cole in the stadium) which shows how much our heroes have really had to lose. The new enemy The Lambet aren't exactly hard to fight i see them as exploding locust... because that's all they really are. There are different types of Lambet; giant ones that spit Imulltion at you with a giant whip if you get to close and bigger enemy's who explode before they die. There are the occasional boss fights that are very satisfying! I can't really explain where they come from unless you want spoilers to the ending of the game, and yes Locust are still in the game! You spend the whole game looking for Adam Fenix (Marcus's father who is the key to everything) taking on little missions to get your way there. At the cost of one of our main characters (I'll let you decide who it is) which i guarantee will leave a tear in the eye of any Gears fan! The game still does leave some unanswered questions that I plead have to be answered!

Gameplay:
Not really much has changed gameplay wise other than the one or two new added weapons such as the Retro-Lancer and the fact some more familiar weapons are now a lil different (Gorgon pistol is now fully automatic and with the click of L3 whilst zooming in with the Hamerburst opens up a view of its iron sights making it more easy to use). The duck, run and cover system is still the same as well as the weapon reload system. You can now trade weapons with a team mate by zooming in at them opening a menu for what weapon of theirs you want. Objectives are now very clear by a click of R1 shows you where you objective is.

Multiplayer:
Multiplayer now seems a whole lot more addictive, whether it's the more competitive game modes or the fact that it comes down to pure skill to kill (no perks, killstreaks ect) only unlocking camos for your weapons, characters and ribbons as you progress in levels (through campaign, multiplayer and horde/beast mode)! The ten maps that come with the game are very satisfying and very quick to learn the best and quickest routes to slaughter your enemy! You can also play the campaign online with 2 to 4 people making the game a whole lot more fun!

Horde mode and Beast Mode
Horde mode returns allowing either you on your own or 2-4 friends battling 50 waves of enemies with a boss round every 10 rounds offering a new challenge! Earning money every enemy you kill to by defenses, weapons ect taking on other horde game modes out there and is defiantly a strong competitor!
Beast mode is basically the opposite instead of playing as a COG tearing Locust apart you play as the Locust tearing humans apart and is equally fun!

Overall:
Overall Gears 3 is by far the Best Gears of War out of the Trilogy. Opening it's arms to new players to the franchise and the fans who have followed it all the way through! The game will leave you with the feeling of going back to the previous releases just to play them all through again and again! With stunning scenery and an emotional connection the the story Gears of war 3 is a definite pick up for anyone(with the edition of previously in gears film to explain the previous editions to Gears)! I will be posting a complete walkthrough of the whole game on my YouTube
Rating 9.5/10 (.5 because it seems in some cases epic games can't seem to pick up how to use the game engine as during cut-scenes graphics take a while to appear).
