Smartphone Best Buy

Who wants a smartphone? It is hard to choose which is value for money, so here are my top 3 smartphones money can buy.

3rd Place : We have the Blackberry curve 8520 from RIM. With the 320X240 colour display, photos are not as clear as i would of hoped but it is good enough for casual web browsing and social networking. The main feature that the blackberry has offered is the touch sensitive track pad. In my opinion the track pad is better than the previous Trackball because of how easy it is to use, it is quicker to scroll webpages and less noise is generated, it also looks quite smart. The phone has not got 3G connectivity or GPS, this is very disappointing. But if GPS and 3G are not important then this is a cheaper alternative than the other Blackberries on the market. If GPS and 3G is important to you, i suggest taking a look at the Blackberry curve 8530. It is the same appearance as the 8520 but with a little more features. The blackberry 8520 has a 2.0 MP camera with 5X digital zoom which is ok but not that useful if you take a lot of photos. The phone has got WiFi, this is good as the phone has no 3G connectivity. The phone comes with 256MB of storage but this can be upgraded.
Overall i think that this phone is based more around the consumer market than the business, so if you want a cheap £99 (Best Price) and reliable phone this is the one, but if you require a phone more features, The Blackberry 8530 is the one for you.

2nd Place : We have the Samsung Galaxy S. The phone has Google's operating system Android. It has a 1 GHz processor along with 8-16 GB internal flash storage. The Galaxy's 5.0 MP camera is great but with no led flash the quality is downgraded in low light environments. There is also an Fm radio built right into the phone, and if you have a Samsung TV then you can use this phone as a remote. The screen is a super 4.0 inch AMOLED display which has a 480X800 screen resolution. The screen is does not reflect light as much as the other phones, this is great because you can actually use this phone outdoors. Despite the big display the phone feels sturdy in your hands as well as keeping it portable. The phones battery life is poor and needs charging quite frequently.
Overall i think that this phone is a brilliant smartphone and is not that pricey (depending on pay as you go or pay monthly). If you want a mid-range smartphone then this is the phone for you. However, if you have a bigger budget then i would read on...

1st Place : We have the outstanding iPhone 4 (16GB). The phone comes with 16GB memory card or you can buy a 32GB model for around £100 more. The display packs a 960X640 screen resolution which means that photos, video and web browsing looks clear and sharp. The phone has a 5.0 MP still camera and can capture 720p HD video. The camera has tap to focus technology and flash for those dark environments, also the phone has a front facing camera which is also a great feature. The phone uses Apple's own operating system (IOS) which is easy to use, The user can download over 350,000 apps specifically designed for the iPhone.
Overall i think that the pricey tag of £510 (Best Price) is great for the device you get. For those that are on a big budget the iPhone 4 is the one for you. If you don't have much money to spend i suggest that you start saving up because you are missing out on a truly great phone. For those that already own a iPhone im sure you are excited about the new software release comming soon for IOS devices.
